What We Do
Light of the World Ministries has a strategy to accomplish its vision to train leaders and establish solid churches. This strategy includes:
Light of the World Church began in 1993 with 3 adults and over 100 children. It is now a thriving community church in Francistown, Botswana with branches being established across the nation.
Light of the World Bible Training Center was established in 2000. It is designed to prepare men and women to serve effectively in senior ministry leadership positions or as supportive ministers in their local church.
Light of the World Academy, established in 1999, is a vital tool for both raising up these young leaders as well as demonstrating the love of God to families and to this community.
Light of the World Missions Internship Program prepares men and women from a western culture to minister in a foreign culture. Whether one feels called to go, to pray or to give, this internship program is designed to equip those who desire to participate in world evangelism through hands-on experience – and Light of the World Ministries is a perfect setting! Its diverse ministries expose interns to a wide variety of experiences, including rural and urban outreach, to young children and the elderly. Interns see first hand the administrative side to ministry as well as teaching, outreach and evangelism.
